I have been feeling the way you have described for a while now. Maybe because I live close to LA I am not surrounded by a large Jewish community. And maybe because we are left coast I have Jews around me who are so uneducated about Israel they support the Pro Hamas propaganda.

I am older than you and only 1 1/2 generations removed from the Holocaust. I have strong memories of my family and their feelings. This is visceral.

I am worried that we don’t have enough Jews who are strong enough to fight back. We have generations of Jews who are ignorant of our history and have no ties to our faith. The kind Sara Hurwitz (so?) described in the book you recommended to me. I am not like the others, I just like the food Jews.

I agree we need to quickly plan and mobilize. But somehow we need to get our lost people educated and ready. They are great in number and we need them.

I have had a knot in my stomach for months. I also am concerned that Trump’s support was based on a transactional opportunity and we will shortly lose American support in Israel.

Something to add onto this: I highly recommend people start learning about the tactics of the Struggle for Soviet Jewry movement in the 60s-90s. I recommend When They Come For Us, We'll Be Gone, and A Cold War Exodus.
